Frustrations with AI
ChatGPT is only a sample, not the only challenge.
I discovered that many of these AIs have rare and frustrating filters that don’t make sense.
I can say Catman, Werewolf, and other anthropomorphic animals, but if I say Lizardman or anthropomorphic Velociraptor, then boom, some dumb filter kicks in. Cannot render humanoid animals.
I had this problem when I wanted a cartoonish illustration of an orange man with golden hair, riding an Elephant. (Assume I was being gently funny, and not insulting.) Boom that failed. Boom that failed, cannot generate images of highly public officials.
There are others, but it is late, and I’m too tired to enumerate them all.
Suffice it to say, whoever creates these filters is not the smartest people around, as they are just driving traffic into the hands of AIs that don’t have these filters. This is Business Rule #1: Don’t send your customer base to your competition.
Oh well, I’ll come up with the cover art for my next software engineering post after I’m finished writing it. FYI: It is about how you can learn from dinosaur code.
